Openair Cinema at Shire's Rest Cafe,

It is over twenty years since Matamata residents have had the opportunity to “go to the flicks” in their home town. In a first for Matamata Openair Cinema and The Shires Rest Café have joined forces to present to great films. Utilising the natural amphitheatre-like paddock next door to The Shires Rest Café on Buckland Road, the massive screen will provide a unique venue to watch the films. Bring your own seating, blankets, beanbags etc.

Soft drinks, beer, wine, confectionary & ice-cream available at the venue. No BYO Alcohol please.

The Shires Rest Cafe will be open for dinner and refreshments until 8pm. Special Film Buffet Dinner only $18.00 (incl: beef, ham, salads, potatoes, bread & vege bake). Enjoy a fabulous meal in rural surroundings before the film.
